How Magazines Create A Need For Nursery Rhyme Artists
Not all of the drawings created by nursery rhyme artists get used within a compilation of Mother Goose rhymes. About five to six years ago, some artistically-minded visitors at a number of magazine racks discovered some illustrations that appeared to have been taken from Mrs. Goose’s personal file. In fact, those drawings decorated the pages of a magazine’s article.
Those sketches depicted a scene or two in which a sheep was present. Each such drawing was supposed to match with a line or two in the published story. That story’s tale included a review of the various rhymes in which a lamb/sheep had been mentioned.
